My name is Marjolein van der Kist; I am 30 years old and live in Amsterdam. I work at Brain Technology Institute as an ambassador. My focus is mainly PR, Communications and organizing fundraise activities.
In January 2014 and March 2015 I have successfully undergone surgeries on a neurovascular disease. Through my neurosurgeon, Prof. A. van der Zwan, I came in touch with BTI and became their ambassador. Because of my experience as a patient, I personally discovered how important it is that people like me, with a rare vascular malformation in the brain, can be helped. That is why I would like to convey this successful message. By means of fundraising activities and donations we can pursue the mission of BTI, namely ‘Improving the quality of life of people with neurovascular diseases’!
